THE WOODLANDS, Texas – Sept. 20, 2024 – SI Group, a leading global developer and manufacturer of performance additives, process solutions, pharmaceuticals, and chemical intermediates, is proud to announce the 50th anniversary of its Freeport, Texas manufacturing facility. This milestone represents a half century of dedication to excellence in manufacturing and commitment to the community. To mark this special occasion, SI Group hosted its annual fishing tournament and family picnic on Saturday, September 14, 2024. The event showcased the spirit of the company’s Texas-based team with an impressive turnout and a partnership with a local charity, featuring a generous donation to celebrate 50 years.

Anniversary Celebration
This year’s annual fishing tournament and family picnic was all about celebrating SI Group Freeport’s significant milestone of 50 years in operation. The event brought together company leadership, current and retired employees with their families, and community members for a day of camaraderie and fun. This cherished tradition culminated in a final catch weigh-in celebration with participants, highlighting the site’s deep roots in Brazoria County and its longstanding commitment to employees and their families.
Giving Back to the Freeport Community
In honor of 50 years, SI Group partnered with the Dream Gifts Program to donate 50 bikes to children in Brazoria County. In addition to this donation, SI Group employees volunteer their time to various charities and community organizations throughout the year.
